YouTube Monetization Checker
Enter any channel handle or URL to inspect live metrics, region details, and monetization indicators.
What Our YouTube Monetization Checker Shows
Our tool reads public data from any YouTube channel and gives you a quick snapshot:
- Subscriber count
- Total views
- Number of uploaded videos
- Country or region
- A YPP eligibility indicator based on public numbers
It is useful for creators checking their own progress, marketers researching competitors, and anyone curious about a channel’s size and potential.
Important: No outside tool can see another channel’s private AdSense account or earnings. Our checker uses public signals only, so treat the result as a strong indicator, not final proof.
How to Check If a YouTube Channel Is Monetized
Follow these steps to get the most accurate answer:
- Paste the channel URL or @handle into the checker above and review the subscriber count and views.
- Open a few of the channel’s recent videos while logged out and without an ad blocker. If ads appear before or during the video, the video is likely monetized.
- Look for a Join button. Channel memberships are usually available only to channels in the Partner Program.
- Check for Super Chat during live streams, or the Thanks button under videos.
- Confirm the channel is based in a country where YPP is available.
No single sign proves monetization, but when several appear together, the channel is very likely monetized.
YouTube Partner Program Requirements in 2026
YouTube now has two eligibility levels.
Level 1: Early access (fan funding and shopping features)
- 500 subscribers
- 3 public uploads in the last 90 days
- 3,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 3 million valid public Shorts views in the last 90 days
Level 2: Full monetization (ad revenue)
- 1,000 subscribers
- 4,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 10 million valid public Shorts views in the last 90 days
Good to know:
- Shorts views and long-form watch hours cannot be combined. You must fully meet one path.
- Watch hours from private videos, unlisted videos, deleted videos and ad campaigns do not count.
- You must also follow YouTube’s monetization policies, have no active Community Guidelines strikes, turn on 2-step verification, and live in a supported country.
- Reports indicate the watch hour and Shorts view thresholds for full monetization may increase on February 1, 2027. Always check YouTube’s official page for the latest numbers.
For the full official rules, read YouTube’s Partner Program overview and eligibility page.

- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Click Earn in the left menu.
- Check your Partner Program status.
If you are in the program, you will see your revenue tools. If not, you will see your progress toward the subscriber and watch hour requirements, and an option to apply once you qualify.
Why Is My YouTube Channel Not Monetized?
Common reasons include:
- Not reaching the subscriber, watch hour or Shorts view minimums
- Reused, repetitive or mass-produced content
- Copyright claims or Community Guidelines strikes
- Living in a country where YPP is not yet available
- Not having an AdSense account linked
Fix the issue, then reapply after the waiting period shown in YouTube Studio. Review can take around a month, sometimes longer.
